There are always a number of events going on in and around Myrtle Beach to celebrate Halloween. Halloween falls on a Saturday this year so there will be plenty of fun to be had both Halloween weekend and the days leading up to it. We hope you will join us at Palace Resort for this festive holiday!
Friday, October 23rd
Looking for a family friendly affair? Head over to the nearby Children’s Museum of South Carolina for the yearly Boo Bash with your family. Perfect for the little ones in the family, the Boo Bash is host to various hands on Halloween themed games and activities, fun costume contests, and trick or treating throughout the museum. Guests will also be able to check out all of the educating yet fun museum exhibits. Admission is only $3 and the fun takes place between 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Saturday, October 24th
The adult costume party at Broadway on the Beach also takes place on the Saturday before Halloween beginning at 8:00 p.m. at the Celebrity Square of Terror. This is the largest costume contest in the entire state and there will be prizes award for first, second and third place. There will be bars and food vendors set up all around the square, making for a fun evening.
Thursday, October 29th
Kick off your Halloween with a scarily good dinner at Croissants Bistro and Bakery. Their yearly HalloWine Dinner will occur on Thursday, October 29 and is sure to please your taste buds. Dress to impress as the evening will include costume contests, games, and various delicious courses. The five-course meal will include themed favorites that will be complimented by Rodney Strong wines. This dinner is $60 / person and begins at 6 p.m.; guests can call (843) 448-2253 to book this tasty meal.
Saturday, October 31st
Stick close by and head to Broadway at the Beach on Halloween for Ripley’s Aquarium’s Boo-Quarium. The party starts at 1:00 p.m. and goes until 6 p.m. and you can expect an evening of spooky fun, with a costume parade and contest, pumpkin decorating, trick or treating and more. Entrance to this event is free with regular admission
Broadway at the Beach will be encouraging families to come Trick or Treat around the complex on October 31st as well. This fun-filled evening begins at 4:30 p.m. and is a top choice here in Myrtle Beach, offering families a fun and safe trick or treating environment! The kids’ evening goes on until 6:30 p.m. and is capped off by a fireworks show at 8 p.m.
If you would rather be laughing on Halloween than spend the night getting spooked, then you are in luck! Head to the Carolina Improv to enjoy a funny themed show. This local theatre showcases local talent who are trained in the ancient art of improv. The Halloween special, “Whose Haunting Is It Anyway?”, will use ideas from the audience to create a totally unique and one-of-a-kind experience. If you are traveling to the beach with your significant other or a group of friends and are looking for a unique Halloween experience head to Murrells Inlet on the south end of the Strand for the annual Halloween on the Marshwalk event. The fun starts at 5 p.m. on Saturday the 31st and over $3,000 in prizes will be given away to the best adult costumes. Costume judging will be at 6 p.m. for kids and the categories include Best Duo or Group, Funniest, Most Original and Scariest. At 7 p.m. the adults’ party begins with separate costume prizes for Serpent’s Bite People’s Choice, Best Duo/Group, Best Individual, Big & Bulky, Murrells Inlet Themed and Honorable Mention. All the costume entrants have to register and visit each of the Marshwalk restaurants to be eligible to win.
